Frequently asked questions
Questions clients ask before a consultation
General information only. The answer for your situation depends on its facts.
Which body hears a national-level sport dispute?
Disputes involving national sport organizations, such as team selection, carding, discipline or doping, can generally be brought to the Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada once internal appeals are exhausted.
Can a federation’s disciplinary decision be challenged?
Usually through the federation’s internal appeal process first. Procedural fairness, the organization’s own rules and deadlines are central, so act quickly after a decision.
